The American School of Montessori Teacher Education is an affiliated member of our International Montessori Council (IMC).However, it is not accredited by the International Montessori Council, and its graduates are not certified by the IMC as Montessori teachers.Having not been asked to evaluate the school for the purpose of accreditation, we can offer no opinion about the quality of its program. I doubt that its credential is recognized outside Pakistan.Our own organization, the International Montessori Council (IMC), which represents 700 schools, has established a new approach to Montessori teacher education that is quite different from existing models.The first IMC recognized course is called the Center for Guided Montessori Studies: http://www.guidedstudies.com/
The biggest issue in most situations is whether one's teacher education program is recognized by that school.

We have no idea what this center is doing. Membership in the IMC is not accreditation, and she should not be representing that she is recognized or accredited by us. I would urge you to address this with the specific program. The program's membership with the IMC is one that conveys services to them, none of which have to do with our approval. It is like saying that, as a member, she agrees to follow our principles of ethical practice.
Do I understand you to be saying that the course is specifically saying that part of your course fees are going to the IMC?
I assure you that this is not the case. What you seem to be saying could be considered an accusation of something truly serious.Tim Seldin
